๐น Game Rules
All SEHAL games operate under official NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) rules:
8-minute quarters
3-minute overtime periods
Player disqualification after 5 personal fouls
Official SEHAL game ball and equipment are mandatory
Bench decorum and coaching conduct will be strictly enforced at all times
๐น Uniform Requirements
All programs must wear SEHAL-compliant uniforms that meet NFHS standards:
Legal and visible jersey numbers
Full compliance with all safety, color, and design regulations
Teams must maintain a consistent home/away uniform set
๐น Game Ball
Only league-approved basketballs may be used
Official game balls will be distributed prior to the start of each season
Teams are responsible for keeping balls in game-ready condition
๐น Team Registration & Fees
All teams must complete Annual Registration with the SEHAL League Office
Participation Fee:$2,500 per team (Due August 10)
No installment plans, refunds, or transfers permitted
๐น Roster Submission & Eligibility
Rosters must be submitted by December 10 each year. Required documentation includes:
Photo ID or School ID with date of birth
Roster Policies:
Roster Lock: No additions after Dec 10
Exception: Maximum of 2 approved additions with written league approval
Players must be:
Enrolled in an accredited educational program, or
Have officially graduated
Transfers require:
Written release from the previous program
SEHAL league approval
๐น Recruitment Regulations
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
โ Contacting or recruiting players from other SEHAL/TCAL programs
โ Offering incentives, scholarships, or benefits to athletes already registered with another SEHAL team
Penalties:
1st Offense: Written warning + $500 fine
2nd Offense:One-year probation
3rd Offense:Expulsion from SEHAL
๐น League Game Participation
Attendance is mandatory for all officially scheduled league games
Emergency absences require 48-hour notice and documented proof
No-shows or unjustified forfeits may result in:
Fine up to $2,500
Loss of playoff eligibility
Possible legal recourse and financial compensation claims
๐น League Schedule
Season schedule finalized by October 1 each year
Official SEHAL games are held on designated weekends (SaturdayโSunday)
๐น Overtime Rules
2-minute overtime period
1 timeout per team in OT
Player disqualification after 5 fouls
All additional gameplay follows NFHS standards
๐น Playoff Eligibility
Only SEHAL-sanctioned games count toward league standings
Non-league play is encouraged for exposure but does not affect seeding
Strength of schedule and overall record are considered for playoff seeding
