At the Southeast Elite High School Athletic League (SEHAL), student-athletes thrive in a structured academic environment led by experienced educators. Member schools provide:

  • Personalized academic support

  • Clearly defined academic expectations

  • Individualized guidance tailored to student needs

SEHAL schools ensure that every athlete remains on track for high school graduation and college acceptance, reflecting our league-wide commitment to both academic excellence and athletic development.

✅ Academic Compliance Requirements for SEHAL Member Schools

To uphold NCAA standards and promote academic integrity, all SEHAL member schools must operate an NCAA-approved academic platform. This guarantees:

  • Accredited, college-preparatory coursework

  • Alignment with NCAA core course requirements

  • Full-time student enrollment in a structured academic program

Full-time enrollment means active participation in a complete academic course load that satisfies both state graduation standards and NCAA initial eligibility guidelines.

🏫 Prep Student Expectations & Eligibility

SEHAL recognizes prep student-athletes as a critical part of elite programs. These students are focused on:

  • Boosting academic readiness

  • Elevating their athletic skillset

  • Increasing recruitment visibility

SEHAL supports their journey with a competitive and academically rigorous framework that prepares them for NCAA athletics and long-term success.

All prep students must:

  • Be enrolled full-time in a structured, NCAA-approved academic platform

  • Not have previously enrolled full-time in a college or university

  • Meet all academic progress and attendance standards

  • Be verified by the prep school’s academic coordinator and approved by SEHAL prior to participating in competition

Non-compliance (including part-time enrollment or misclassification) will result in:

  • Player ineligibility

  • Forfeiture of games

  • School probation

  • Potential removal from the league
