This letter serves as formal verification that all teams and institutions affiliated with the Southeast Elite High School Athletic League (SEHAL) operate under the governance of TCAL Southeast, a regional division of the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL).

Founded in 1991 by Dr. Gilbert Perez, TCAL is a nationally recognized governing body providing oversight for Christian, Catholic, Private, Charter, and Homeschool athletic programs across Texas and other participating states. TCAL operates with integrity, structure, and professionalism—ensuring all affiliated programs meet national compliance, eligibility, and academic accountability standards.

TCAL is honored to be a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), the gold standard for high school athletic programs across the United States. This membership reaffirms our league’s commitment to sportsmanship, fairness, and integrity in all athletic endeavors, and ensures that our student-athletes compete under nationally recognized principles of ethical conduct and competitive excellence.


All SEHAL-affiliated programs:
  • Operate under the official bylaws and regulatory authority of TCAL Southeast / SEHAL

  • Adhere to NFHS guidelines regarding eligibility, game rules, and athlete safety

  • Are managed by league-certified Athletic Directors, Coaches, and Administrators through a structured, transparent leadership model

The Southeast Elite High School Athletic League (SEHAL) takes brand integrity and league membership enforcement seriously.

If your program is not officially sanctioned by SEHAL, you are strictly prohibited from using or referencing the SEHAL name, logo, or branding on:

  • Documents

  • Websites

  • Social media

  • Event materials

  • Uniforms or promotional content

Unauthorized use of SEHAL affiliation or branding will result in immediate legal action. If your program is not listed on the official team roster at www.sehal.net, you are not recognized as an SEHAL member school.
